We Predict Human Behavior in Cities

Case Study 4

Understanding where patients live to provide better and more responsive care.

Knowing exactly where in a city you can find your highest concentration of patients and what other factors in the environment will contribute to the success of new clinics makes choosing new locations very straightforward.

The Challenge

How do you place a primary care clinic in order to best cover your patient population? How about in a city that you have never operated in?

The Solution

Zoba brings together thousands of variables that show how a city works as a system. These data are both spatial and temporal in nature and allow us to look at historical events in the context that they occurred.

The combination of our data and our algorithms with a healthcare company's anonymized patient location data allows for the prediction of patient population distributions in current and new cities.

By placing clinics based on projected patient distributions, healthcare companies can ensure that they are located in areas that will produce the most revenue and best provide for their patient population.
